Here you will find out about the organization, how it got started and how In The Light Fund is actively raising funds to support families battling with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. All donations are tax-deductible and no amount is too small. In The Light Services:
The funds raised are broken up into three different categories. The bulk of the money, 85%, goes to financial assistance for families in the forms of, but not limited to, grocery cards, diapers, medical bills, gas cards, etc. 10% goes to gifts for the children, and the final 5% is set aside for administrative expenses. In The Light Fund has donated more than $40,000 directly to families in need!!
In addition to financial assistance for families, ITLF provides psychosocial support through a Registered Nurse who is available to educate families about diseases and prevention of infections.
The organization has an application that families may fill out. We have also made the applications available to numerous children's hospitals, including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Philadelphia area hospices. Each application is reviewed by the In The Light board to decide the type and amount of funding we will give. Know of anyone in need? Please contact us!
